Walk for a muddy good cause
Nearly 200 pupils aged 11 - 14 belonging to the school’s Garrick House enjoyed the challenge.
The walk took place long footpaths in Newbold, past Newbold Quarry, through the fields of Long Lawford and the towpath along the Oxford Canal.

Hide AdAfter completing the walk the students presented a cheque for over £800 to Claire McDowell, community fundraiser for Myton Hospices.
During her visit Claire spoke to all the students involved about the work and care provided at the hospices.
Ian Goldthorp, Garrick House’s Achievement Leader said: “All the students were fantastic and showed superb effort throughout the walk. A member of Long Lawford parish council even commented on the students’ exemplary behaviour.
“A six mile walk was a big challenge and I hope the students are proud of themselves for completing it. We were very lucky to walk in beautiful weather, although the stretch along the tow path was extremely muddy!”
