The pair had their heads completely shaved back in September in hope of raising funds for the hospital unit alongside awareness of cancer treatment.

Pulling in almost £1,000 since the challenge, the pair has now thanked everyone for their donations.

Susan, a 60-year-old grandmother gave up work to help her daughter through treatment and said she simply wanted to do something amazing to show solidarity and thank the “amazing medical team” at the cancer unit where Shelly is treated each week.

Her daughter Shelly, 40, has undergone extensive chemotherapy treatment at the hospital this year after being diagnosed with bowel and secondary liver and lung cancers.

Her treatment continues and she has backed her mum and Linda through their fundraiser.

Linda who lives in nearby St Michael’s Road also wanted to help a cause close to her heart after watching her mother battle breast cancer.

All funds will go directly to the Aylesford hospital unit to help treatment for others.
