Whitnash mayor is on the slide

TEENAGERS showed off their bike and scooter chops while Whitnash mayor Cllr Adrian Barton demonstrated his skill on the slide when a Whitnash park was reopened last week.

Parents and residents group Friends of Acre Close enlisted the help of charities and local authorities to pay for a new play area and skate ramp.

Claire Jones, secretary of Friends of Acre Close said: “It’s great to see so many people, from senior citizens and parents to teenagers and toddlers enjoying the park and taking such good care of it. It’s wonderful that Whitnash finally has a park that reflects the community spirit there is in our town.”
