Woman seriously injured in road accident

A WOMAN has been seriously injured after the car she was driving came off the road and hit a tree.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Tysoe Road in Kineton at around 8.45am this morning (Monday) and an ambulance was sent to the scene.

An Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived on the scene to find a car which had left the road and collided with a tree.

“The driver of the car, a woman believed to be 45-years-old, was unconscious.

“Crews suspected she had suffered a head injury in the collision and commenced treatment whilst working with the fire service to carefully extricate her from the car by cutting off the roof.

“Crews administered oxygen, maintained her airways, immobilised her with a neck collar and spinal board and conveyed her to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
