Young farmers in Warwickshire support hospice

They played tug’o’war over a river, threw hay bales, sumo wrestled and feasted on barbecue food - and now the Wormleighton Young Farmers are able to donate just under £3,000 to the Katharine House Hospice in Staffordshire.

The group organised a summer festival in Chipping Warden, the proceeds from which have now been handed over to the hospice. The event was held at Trafford House Farm by permission of the Thame Family.

Amy Brown, chairman of the Wormleighton Young Farmers, said: “I’m so pleased that we are able to donate £2,970 to Katharine House Hospice - the hard work from our members certainly paid off. It has really inspired us to make next year bigger and better.”
