Folkard enjoys Super Saturday
Leamington archer Naomi Folkard claimed women’s recurve gold at the Archery GB National Series Final at Nottingham’s Wollaton Park on Saturday.
Folkard defeated Bryony Pitman in straight sets after a series of head-to-head matches whittled the original 16 archers down to two.
Talking about the final, she said: “I was quite nervous. Definitely more nervous than I was the other two matches, but I just made sure I kept pulling strong, and pushing strong. It’s my first National Series win since Leamington in 2010, so I’m really happy.”
