On the half-hour they did get the equaliser they deserved when a corner was scrambled home from six yards.
Whitnash responded five minutes later with the outstanding Henry Leaver hitting a 25-yard screamer that went in off the crossbar to make it 2-1.
Shortly before the break, Briscoe got his second with a towering header after a superb cross from Leaver.

Whitnash are in Birmingham Vase tomorrow against Hawkesmill while their reserves are at home to Potters Green in the Foleshill Charity Cup (1.45pm).
