Home help for Spa’s White at the Nationals
Royal Leamington Spa Bowls Club will have a home representative in the Bowls England National Championships after Ray White defeated Welford-on-Avon’s Mario Rosso 21-13 to reach the final of the county singles competition.
White will meet five-times winner Graham Ashby from Coventry Avenue in the final at Welford on Sunday.
However, by making the final two, White has qualified to represent Warwickshire in the singles competition at the men’s National Championships which will be staged for the first time at Victoria Park.

Hide AdThe men’s National Championships will run over the last two weeks of the month, with White taking part in the four-wood singles which begin on August 27.
The ladies’ National Championships get under way tomorrow.
