Page is a headline maker after first place at the Draycote Water 10 mile

Page produced a new personal best time of 55min 32sec to finish more than a minute ahead of the second-placed athlete.

Imogen Peace also ran well to finish 21st overall and second lady behind Northampton RR’s Rosanna Andrews (63:05) in a PB of 66:28.

Spa Striders’ Clare Hinton was third female in a PB of 69:11.

Mel Price starred for Kenilworth at the first in the Tempo Winter Series of 10k races at Ilmington, finishing as leading lady (and 17th overall) in an excellent time of 41:35.

Alex Atkinson also ran well, relishing the 2k climb up Larkstoke Hill, to come home tenth and fifth M35 in 40:18.

Atkinson was followed by Wayne Briggs who, recovering from a heavy cold, was pleased to finish 18th in 41:55.

Dave Pettifer was first V55 in 45:17, with Pauline Dable second L65 in 60:01.

The race was won by Simon Lanckham of Bromsgrove and Redditch in 37:15.

Kenilworth Runners’ Grantham-based Matthew Kingston-Lee ran a cautious but solid race at the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon following a calf strain, finishing 25th in a chip time of 1:18:59.

The race was won by Stuart Spencer of Notts AC in 1:09:31.

Kenilworth Runners’ Jayne Mumford was third LV45 at the off-road Ascott-under-Wychwood 10k in Oxfordshire in a time of 52 minutes.

Clubmate Sheela Hobden was just behind in 55 minutes.

To commemorate the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt, runners at the Crispin’s Crispian were invited to don fancy dress and run a full or half trail marathon from Stratford, mainly along the canal but with a few quiet lanes and farmland thrown in.

Kenilworth’s Sally Hicks was delighted with her time of 4:30 for the marathon, with Michelle Collingham running 2:08 for the third lady prize in the half.
