The team is the newest and youngest squad in the successful Scorchin’ Pawz flyball club which has been competing for just over half a year and has expanded to 17 members, ranging from eight to 60 years of age.

Scorchin’ Pawz captain Katy Jones, who teaches at Myton School, said: “I am thrilled with the success of our new team.

“They have been training really hard for the past six months and their hard work and dedication has paid off.

“It is lovely to have such a mix of different breeds in this team, and they all complement each other really well.

“I am expecting great things to come from our new team.”

The club is now looking for sponsorship to enable them to buy specialist equipment and uniforms for their handlers.

They are also keen to encourage new members, with training sessions held at Harbury Rugby Club.
