A two-and-a-bit lap course around Draycote Water was made more difficult by a strong headwind, especially as the wind picked up in the final mile.

Garanto was unable to complete the Beat the Hour challenge but nevertheless finished in an impressive time of 60min 56sec.

Fellow Strider Hartwig Busch was 20th in 1:11:13.
