Lions have taken over top spot in Midlands 2 West (South) after beating leaders Spartans 12-8 at Webb Ellis Road on Saturday.

The game included an appearance from Lions’ 51-year-old head coach Dave Addleton for the last two minutes - for which he received a standing ovation from the crowd!

This weekend unbeaten Lions have another tough game in prospect when they travel to third-placed Silhillians, who have lost just one league game so far this season.
