Tinsley is pure class
Leamington driver Marcus Tinsley took his Peugeot 205 Rallye to class victory and a top 30 overall position at last weekend’s AVO Suspension Promenade Stages Rally at New Brighton, the Wirral.
With Huddersfield garage owner David Batley in the navigator’s seat, the duo signalled their intent to repeat their 2010 class victory by setting the 25th fastest overall time on a unique super special stage run on the Friday night.
A string of fastest times on the 11-stage closed road event eventually saw them win their class by 51 seconds.
The result backs up the second and third in class awards already achieved this season and confirmed victory for Tinsley in the ANCC Tarmac Challenge.
