Skate park gets cash for revamp

ZAC PARKINSON’S initiative in asking Waitrose for help in redeveloping the skate park at Castle Farm recreation ground has raised £500.

Zac, aged 18, goes to Kenilworth Youth and Community Centre and regularly uses the skate park.

Retail manager Xen Tzambazles agreed to nominate Kenilworth Skate Park as one of their three chosen good causes to feature for April’s Community Matters initiative.

Under the scheme Waitrose donates a share of £1,000 each month to three local causes.

And the share is determined by customers who select one of the three to support by depositing a token in a box.

Youngsters also raised money for work at the skate park.
