Here are 16 photos that we printed in the Courier and Weekly News that illustrate the ups and downs of 2019.
5. Beginner's luck
Lottery winner Sam Lawton from Leamington won 120,000 in August after buying his first ever ticket!
He is pictured spraying the Champagne with his partner Connie Bell. The former Campion School pupil Sam, 19, was a winner of the 10,000 a month for 12 months 'Set For Life' draw and said the 120,000 prize has come at the "best possible time" for him and his young family. Photo: Mike Baker
6. There's no Planet B
Pupils across the Warwick district walked out of school on a few occasions to protest against a lack of action to stop global warming. Here they are pictured outside Leamington Town Hall with MP Matt Western.
7. Opening the floodgates
Heavy rainfall led to floods across the county in November, leaving many roads impassable and forcing schools to close.

8. "If you want outdoor swimming, then go and swim in the lake!"
It is not often you see four men ready for a February swim in the Abbey Fields lake.
But there was a good reason for it - these campaigners fighting against plans to close the outdoor pool were responding to a comment made by a councillor who said: "If you want outdoor swimming, then go and swim in the lake."
None of the men pictured actually jumped in - but one person who did take a dip was Lindsey Cole, who was the first person to swim
the length of the River Thames. She arrived in town a bit later to help with the campaign.
